About
Jewelries than make you happy.
That little moment of joy—like taking a bite of your favorite cake.
Your cheeks soften, and your heart feels just a little lighter.
HAPPY CAKE JEWELS creates jewelry that brings those small,
happy moments to life.
No matter how stylish the outfit, you are always the star.
But when you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror,
a gentle smile appears.
You feel more like yourself. You love yourself a little more.
And you find yourself reaching for that piece every day.
Sweet, but not too sweet.
Charming, yet grown-up.
A design that suits you now, in this moment of your life.
That’s the kind of feeling HAPPY CAKE JEWELS
brings to life through its creations.
About the Designer
Keiko Maekawa
Designer & Founder of HAPPY CAKE JEWELS
Born in Osaka, Japan.
In 2001, Keiko moved to New York to study Electronic Design and Multimedia at The City College of New York. She earned her B.F.A. in 2006 with
Summa Cum Laude honors, recognizing her academic excellence.
While at CCNY, she was selected as a KAYE Scholar, and the logo she designed for the program through a competition is still officially in use today.
Her time in New York, immersed in a wide range of cultures and perspectives, nurtured her sensitivity to the beauty of imperfection and the joy found in everyday moments—both of which continue to influence her work deeply.
After returning to Japan, she worked in web design at a printing company in Nagoya.
In 2009, she launched HAPPY CAKE JEWELS and studied jewelry-making at
Hiko Mizuno Jewelry College in Osaka, where she began to pursue her own creative voice.
Her work has also caught the attention of stylists and production teams, and in 2023, her designs were featured in the TV drama Roppongi Class, worn by lead actresses Yurina Hirate and Yuko Araki.
Today, she continues to create and sell jewelry primarily online, both in Japan and internationally.
As both a designer and a mother, she values creating pieces that feel “just right” for where you are right now.
